Hellooo! A few weeks ago, an Instagram advert led me to a sale on the Zavvi website, which I guess means the advert did its job! I placed an order for a few items for myself, plus a couple of gifts for, dare I say it, Christmas!
Zavvi had a 50% off deal on selected Funko items as part of their birthday celebrations, so I went for a couple of Pop vinyls from them, which were both reduced from £10.99 to £5.49. The first was a Pop vinyl of Annie Edison from the TV show, Community! I spent a good part of lockdown watching my way through all six seasons of the show, which are available on Amazon Prime Video for free with an Amazon Prime subscription, and I loved Annie’s character. This Pop vinyl features Annie Edison in a classic Annie style outfit, along with the top of her hair clipped back. I love that she’s holding her well known purple pen, along with a green Spanish textbook!
The second Pop vinyl I purchased was a thestral from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, although I chose it as I love the creature in the Harry Potter series! The Pop thestral has bright white eyes, which are a complete contrast to the dark grey and black thestral. I love the touches of purple on the wings and cheeks and the incredible detail that has gone into this one! From the beak, down to the spiny tail, the detail looks amazing!
The last item I bought was a Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook of The Greatest Showman! I’ve never owned a steelbook before and I was SO excited to see what it would be like. I also happen to LOVE The Greatest Showman! The steelbook stated had a full price of £29.99 and was on offer for £9.99 and I couldn’t resist it! I love the cover of the steelbook case, featuring a vintage circus design, with a circus tent entrance, song titles from the film on each corner and a ringmaster and gymnast on either side of the cover. I also love the subtle details around the cover, such as the frame around the cover, featuring fairground rides across the top. I love the striped edges on the sides of the case and the reverse of the case, which features the song title Come Alive, along with a similar frame to the front. Inside the steelbook case is a Blu-ray copy of the film, along with a DVD copy and I love the interior of the steelbook. The steelbook also includes a songbook, with notes from the songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, along with song lyrics, images from the film and behind-the-scenes pictures. Although the design of this booklet doesn’t really match the overall design of the steelbook, I still love the design of it. This copy of the film also states that it features over 2 hours of special features!
Overall, I am very happy with the items I ordered! I will mention that I ordered five items, which arrived in three separate packages, posted using three different delivery methods, which I thought was strange as they were all purchased in one order from the Zavvi website!
