Anne-Marie - Therapy Signed Album Review

Hellooo! On Friday, Anne-Marie released her second album titled Therapy! A while back, I spotted signed copies of the Therapy CD on Amazon for £10.99 and I just had to pre-order myself a copy. I was surprised to find that my copy of the album actually arrived on Thursday, the day before the album release date which was exciting!

The CD arrived sealed and in perfect condition, with the disc, album booklet and signed art card encased in a cardboard gatefold CD sleeve. I love the Therapy album artwork and the photography and branding across the album, along with the image chosen for the signed art card.

Therapy is filled with star-studded guest appearances and also features writing credits from Raye (x2, Breathing) and Ed Sheeran (Beautiful). The album also includes 4 singles that have been released so far, which are Don't Play (with KSI and Digital Farm Animals), Way Too Long (with Nathan Dawe and MoStack), Our Song (with Niall Horan), and most recently, Anne-Marie's collaboration with Little Mix titled Kiss My (Uh-Oh).

Kiss My (Uh-Oh) is definitely one of my favourite songs at the moment! The catchy single samples Lumidee's Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh) and I love how Anne-Marie's voice sounds with Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie's vocals. Also, I LOVE the references to the Bridesmaids film at the start of the music video for Kiss My (Uh-Oh), which sees the ladies go on a hen party/holiday with Anne-Marie playing the bride-to-be. Once they arrive, Leigh-Anne and Perrie stay in the hotel room for the evening while Anne-Marie, Jade and their group go for a wild night out. I loved how the video incorporates Leigh-Anne and Perrie's pregnancies without completely removing them from the main storyline.

I also love Anne-Marie and Niall Horan's collaboration Our Song and particularly the layers of backing vocals in the choruses. Another one of my favourite tracks on the album is Unlovable and I really like Rudimental's influence on the song. Beautiful is a song that lives up to its title with empowering lyrics and I LOVE the impact of the layers of vocals in the final chorus, before some very cute children sing the end of the song! Tell Your Girlfriend follows Beautiful and it is another track filled with girl-power lyrics. Another song I love on Therapy is Better Not Together, which for some reason sounds to me like it would be perfect on a Pitch Perfect soundtrack, which is definitely not a bad thing! I love the different drum styles throughout the song, along with the strings and synths in the instrumental. The titular track Therapy completes the album and it feels like the song rounds off the album perfectly.

The album showcases Anne-Marie's beautiful voice and vocal range, along with her musical flexibility from tracks filled with attitude such as x2 through to more delicate and vulnerable tracks such as Breathing. Therapy is a strong pop album filled with beautifully written, sassy and empowering lyrics and catchy tracks, such as Who I Am. Overall, I love this album and I'm very happy to have a signed copy in my collection!

Thanks for reading and stay safe!
