Hellooo! I love vinyl picture discs and I have been wanting to buy the Songs from Tangled picture disc for a while now as I LOVE the film Tangled so I am very excited to add it to my collection! I have been watching the price on Amazon fluctuate from £20 to £29 and everything in between for quite some time before I came across a copy of the vinyl on eBay for £15 with free postage, which I thought was a bargain!
As I write this, there is currently 1 copy left on the listing, and both copies available were listed as having a damaged corner, which I wasn't too bothered about as the record itself wasn't damaged. The vinyl I ordered arrived in the post super quickly and in great condition, aside from the advertised damaged corner, and was sealed in a cellophane wrapper. Underneath the cellophane wrapper, the picture disc is encased in a cardboard sleeve, with a see-through plastic window, allowing Side A of the record inside to be viewed through the sleeve. The front of the cardboard sleeve is purple, covered with magical stars and has the Songs from Tangled logo printed on the top left and a Disney Picture Disc logo on the top right. the reverse of the sleeve is solid cardboard without a plastic window and has an image of Side B of the vinyl printed in the centre. The back of the sleeve also lists the songs recorded on Sides A and B of the vinyl.
Now for the vinyl itself! Side A of the Songs from Tangled vinyl is printed with artwork of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider wrapped in Rapunzel's hair. Side B of the picture disc is printed with artwork from the beautiful lantern scene from Tangled. The artwork shows Rapunzel and Flynn in a boat and in this depiction, they are joined by Maximus and Pascal! Lanterns fill the sky behind them, where the sun is setting. I LOVE the colours in the artwork and the detail that has been put into every aspect of the image. Side B of the vinyl is also printed with a list of the tracks that are recorded onto Sides A and B.
Side A of the vinyl is recorded with the tracks When Will My Life Begin?, When Will My Life Begin? (Reprise 1), Mother Knows Best and When Will My Life Begin? (Reprise 2)! The tracks I've Got a Dream, Mother Knows Best (Reprise), I See the Light and Healing Incantation are recorded onto Side B of the picture disc.
Overall, I love this picture disc copy of the Songs from Tangled soundtrack and I LOVE the beautiful artwork printed onto each side of the record. I particularly love the artwork on Side B of the record, which shows the iconic lantern scene from the film. The purple cardboard sleeve compliments the picture disc well and I am very happy to add this one to my picture disc collection!
